Hi Carol, these are great points - hospital pulmonary units should also be included in the &quot;no flower or live plants&quot; tip. I remember my mom and how her exacerbated COPD symptoms would result in a trip to the hospital and how she could not tolerate flowers in the room during these times. It&#039;s easy to forget especially when folks do not have a loved one experiencing these issues. Thanks for commenting!]]></description>

This also goes for the pulmonary wings as the strong scent of some flowers can trigger asthma attacks and ,in general , difficulty breathing.  Most folks with asthma also have allergies. It&#039;s just a bad idea. Hospital rooms are small and the concentrated scent sometimes runs me out of a room sneezing as well]]></description>
