Hi Shannon,

Just joined your group as I was searching for information on thyroid issues. I am on a physician controlled diet and doing well but received my initial blood work results back and found some things that troubled me. I am 56 and have finished going through menopause for the most part. I know with weight loss my Cholesterol (232) will go down and my triglycerides (153) and LDL (150) will all change but what troubled me was the TSH results (5.200). Lots of controversy on what is a normal TSH level. Old ways say 3.0 to 5.0 was normal. New ways say 2.0 to 3.0 is normal and that they can fluctuate constantly. I have always been low in progesterone as I had several miscarriages during my younger days and was always given progesterone (sublingual) when I found out I was pregnant. Most of the time it did not work and I always miscarried. Finally at age 39 I became pregnant and with the help of progesterone, baby asprin and a good gyno-endocrinologist I had a baby boy at 40. I've read a lot about thyroid disorders and estrogen and thyroid disorders and progesterone. Most all the symptoms with thyroid disorders and progesterone deficiency hit home for me. Hair loss, loss of libido, irritability, panic, skin changes, muscle aches, fibrocystic breast, weight gain and so on are things I am experiencing. I have had psoriasis in the past but most of it has gone away with the exception of a small patch on my elbow, so I know I have auto immune disorders. What I am trying to do is take a holistic approach to my care. I do not want to take synthetic hormones or or synthroid or any other pharmaceutical. I am hoping your website can give me clarification on the approach I am taking with is diet, exercise and progesterone cream (Dreamland Internal Harmony Progesterone 25 mg progesterone from wild yams not soy, vit.E, B6, B12 and 2000 IU vit.D. Would love to hear your thoughts on my plan of action. I have signed up for your website and look forward to more information on the subject. Kindest regards, KIM

Hi Sarah,
Great question! Since I've been on LDN and in remission with interstitial cystitis, the vitamin C from Innate Response does not pose any negative effects' however, it is derived from whole blood oranges and not ascorbic acid. I haven't used ascorbic acid vitamin C supplements in many years and don't recommend them. Good luck to you!
Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment :-)

Vaginal dryness is an indication of hormone imbalance; however, it may be related to other issues.

Hi Shannon,

Does the Innate Response bother your interstitial cystitis at all? I recently had my micronutrient testing done and I am borderline deficient in Vitamin C but was hesitant to take anything because of my I.C. I would love to be able to take a supplement for the deficiency. My I.C. isn't too terribly bad (knock on wood).

Thank you!
