ROASTED CHICORY ROOT LATTE

Tastes like coffee, but it contains no caffeine. Make it into a smooth and creamy (yet dairy-free) latte makes the transition from coffee so much easier

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon roasted chicory root
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1 Tablespoon ghee coconut butter or butter (if tolerated)
  • 1 Medjool date pitted
  • Fresh nutmeg not or powder

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil, add chicory root and steep 10 minutes.
  • Strain and transfer to a blender.
  • Add the ghee (or any fat you decide to use) and the date. Blend for 1 minute at high speed.
  • Top with freshly grated nutmeg and enjoy.
